Free Sedums!

Free Sedums! (in a bucket)I love free stuff. I won't lie. There was a time when, if it was free, I would take it. I later learned that this was a bad idea and ended up selling a lot of things on ebay, giving to friends, and eventually to goodwill. I still love free stuff though, I just am more selective about the stuff that I accept. Free plants are almost always on the approved list and double approved is this bucket of sedums that my neighbor gave me. I've been admiring their cuteness for two years now and she decided she was tired of them and redid her bed, she saved back half and let me take what I wanted of the rest. Now I just need to work on rejuvenating my other neglected bed. Yay!

What a healthy looking clump -- and they'll spread like crazy. Great freebie!

You would think that eventually it would manage to milk the guilt enough to get me to plant them but nooooo, I’m not feeling quiet that guilty. Until this week. When the sedums really took it to the next level. The sedums that have been living in a bucket for the last THREE MONTHS, decided to flower, and quite prettily. [...]
