Don Young Wins With a 1662 Pound Pumpkin!

Don Young did win on Saturday with a 1662 pound pumpkin, just 27 pounds shy of breaking the world record. Wow. I mean, I'm totally happy for the guy but how brutal to lose the world record by only 26 pounds. It said in the video that it grew 55 pounds a day. How frustrating. I hope he was able to enjoy himself and honestly, in the pictures he looks thrilled. Click here for more pictures of his trip to the weigh-off.

55 lbs A DAY???
WOW! That is crazy! I saw 2 giant pumpkins on a flatbed truck on interstate 80 in PA this weekend and thought of you and your pumpkin. You know, I had never seen a giant pumpkin anywhere except a fair until now...funny.
