According to Cooper: Moons & Stars Watermelon
by Michelle

First we got to get some little pots.

We put the pots in the dirt.
And use dirt to cover the seeds up.
Then we put them in the paper thing with all the dirt inside.
We put the seeds in the pots with the dirt inside.

And then we water them.
And the SPROUTS come up for the ladybugs.
They will be crawling on the pots. But then they will be removed and we will throw them onto the pointy bush with all the spikes.

And then watermelons come out.
The have to grow 100 weeks.
The watermelons will be as huge as a banana-foo in a hotrod. (I did ask him to clarify about the banana-foo, he claimed that his grandparents told him about them.)
Disclaimer: This method has not been tested. This boy is not an expert. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's making some of this stuff up although when I grilled him his story did not change. Either way, he'll keep you posted about the watermelon. In the mean time we'll be going out to check the watermelon pots approximately 1,205 a day.
