Gay zombies should be the least of the park's concerns. The ill-fated publicity stunt to let zombies marry at the park is to me far less damaging to the reputation of the Pride of Sandusky than the amusement park's class-baiting Fast Lane passes and exorbitant food prices. Most parents, I think, would rather answer a child's questions about a same-sex couple dressed as dead people than explain why people cut ahead of them in line after a minute wait. To promote its fall festival, HalloWeekends, Cedar Point launched a plan to allow couples — dressed as zombies — to get married en masse on park grounds. A licensed marriage official, respectably dressed as a zombie, would perform the Sept. But Cedar Point cancelled the event because park officials thought some visitors might be troubled by seeing gay zombies, which are evidently scarier than straight ones.
GAY DAY @ CEDAR POINT
Cedar Point: The Worst Four Weeks of My Life
I don't want to get into an argument about weather it's a good idea or not. Since today is the unofficial Gay Day at Cedar Point, and some people are against the fact that it is the same day as Father's Day, I wonder if the park made it official and held it, say, next Sunday would the people attending actually move their visits or would it just stay where it is? Or even expand to two Sunday's? By making it official I believe it would put a bad light on cedar point for singleing out the gay community. I believe Cedar Point should just let it go. Its just like a group of us going. I think it's a great idea for Gay Day.
Cedar Point for Father's Day
It had been a while since we hung out or that I was even at home. After getting off work and hanging out with Chris for a bit Saturday, I made the trek back to Newburgh. And still managed to get up around 8am. Sunday yesterday was a different story all together. The coupon ended up winning and we headed straight to the park.
Roller Coasters! I was planning on making my 1st trip to Cedar Point since on Gay Day this year. It will be my first Gay Day at this park. Anyone from the general area want to join me or at least meet me at a certain ride for a TPR coaster ride?
