Music-loving teens in New York City are in luck. Yet, not everything is open to the under crowd. Many shows, especially if held at a bar, and a number of clubs, ban those under the legal drinking age of Read on for a list of clubs where they won't have to worry about getting carded—and you won't have to worry about them sneaking into someplace they shouldn't be. Hours after the teen's drunken story fall from the ledge of a midtown apartment, it was business as usual at Tenjune and other tony nightspots: long lines, short skirts and minor disruptions. There was a crackdown on phony IDs, although crafty underage drinkers still slipped through. Coke dealers peddled their poison on Little W. And the tragic teen's name was on the lips and in the minds of many on both sides of the velvet ropes.

Being under 21 in New York City can feel pretty limiting when you want to party. While your older friends can hang out to the early morning hours at bars and concert halls, your age may hold you back. Luckily, there are ways to still have fun which don't involve a fake ID.
Unfortuantely, there aren't any teen dance clubs. There aren't that many places in the city for dancing in general, and the one teen dance club we had Crush closed some time ago.
